This role is a key role within our client’s organization to work as part of the Technical Team and report to the Vice-President of Engineering. The Technical Writer/Graphic Illustrator will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and maintenance of formal documentation, illustrations and photo-realistic rendering software to create amazing visuals.
• Create and maintain our client’s technical documentation and illustrations to a professional standard;
• Create and maintain Operations and Installation manuals, Service Bulletins, and other relevant content;
• Create and maintain our client’s artwork including but not limited to: serial plates, overlays, labels, signage, etc…
• Create photo-realistic renderings and animations from 3D CAD models for use by Sales and Marketing departments;
• Edit documentation for clarity without changing key information;
• Work with Sales and Marketing departments to determine requirements and attend meetings.
• Post-Secondary Degree in Mechanical/Writing/Graphic Design disciplines;
• 1 - year minimum Industrial experience creating technical documentation and illustrations for the manufacturing sector in either USA/Canada;
• Technically savvy and familiar with mechanical assembly processes terminology that includes: tools, hardware, and common practices;
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design);
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Outlook);
• Excellent English technical writing skills;
• English oral spoken and written must be 100%.
Nice-to-have :
• Knowledge of KeyShot 3D Rendering software
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical devices;
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings;
• Ability to write in French and/or Spanish languages.
