Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced API Developer to design, build, test and support secure and reliable enterprise technology solutions.
The successful candidate will work within collaborative Agile teams and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and technical design through implementation, testing and production support.

Application & API Development
• Develop, enhance and maintain reliable enterprise applications.
• Design and develop APIs, services, system integrations and user-facing functionality as required.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective designs and working software.
• Write clean, maintainable, scalable and well-tested code.
• Apply object-oriented design and established software-development principles.
Testing & Production Support
• Create unit, integration and automated tests.
• Troubleshoot application defects, integration challenges and production issues.
• Support application implementations, releases and ongoing production activities.
• Contribute to application monitoring, reliability and performance improvement.
Engineering Excellence & Collaboration
• Participate in technical-design discussions, code reviews and development planning.
• Collaborate with business analysts, quality-assurance engineers, architects and operations teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, standards and practices.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and DevOps delivery activities.
What we are looking for
• Professional experience in software development and enterprise application delivery.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, C++, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience designing and developing APIs, services and system integrations.
• Experience with databases, version-control systems and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design and software-development principles.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, microservices, containers or event-driven architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and application-monitoring tools.
• Front-end development experience with React, Angular or a comparable framework is an asset.
• Experience within banking, Capital Markets or another regulated industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
