Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking a Data Capability Lead to support the growth, delivery excellence, and strategic positioning of our client. This role is critical given the junior-heavy team mix locally and the strong, growing demand for data expertise across North America.
The role combines delivery leadership, deep technical expertise, team development, and client-facing contribution, with the ability to step into strategic billable programs when required.
What we need your help with
Delivery & Team Leadership
• Provide hands-on leadership to Data and AI teams (20+ resources across data and AI).
• Oversee delivery quality across data engagements, ensuring strong engineering standards and architectural rigor.
• Support local managers with staffing, performance management, and project oversight.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level talent, shaping career paths and technical growth.
• Partner closely with Practice leadership, Sales, and Account Managers to ensure seamless execution.
• Serve as a bridge between local delivery needs, and global practice priorities.
Data Engineering & Architecture Expertise
• Act as the senior technical authority for Data Engineering and Data Architecture.
• Lead solution design for modern data platforms (cloud data lakes, data pipelines, streaming, ML data architectures).
• Ensure our capabilities align with North American client demand and practice priorities.
• Maintain a strong hands-on mindset, particularly for complex or high-risk initiatives.
Client Engagement & Growth
• Support presales efforts where Data Engineering / Architecture is a key differentiator.
• Contribute to securing strategic data engagements across North America.
• Collaborate with internal accelerators and automation initiatives to enhance our data go-to-market strategies.
What we are looking for
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or platform engineering roles.
• Proven experience in delivering transformational projects in data
• Strong background in modern data stacks (cloud platforms, ETL/ELT, streaming, scalable architectures).
• Experience supporting presales or client solutioning at a senior level.
• Ability to operate across strategy, execution, and people leadership.
• Prior consulting or professional services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in the Financial Services Industry is a plus.
