Role and Responsibilities

The Data Center Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support for enterprise server hardware located at a customer data center site. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation activities, working in coordination with remote support teams. The position is fully onsite and supports long-term data center operations.

What we need your help with

• Triage issues with direction from senior technical resources
• Execute plans of action from senior technical resources
• Document plan-of-action results, logs, and service reports, including part numbers and PPIDs of old/new parts replaced
• Reseat parts, swap or replace components
• Conduct server testing and validation, including running diagnostics, capturing, and uploading logs
• Upgrade firmware as needed
• Manage parts lockers, inbound and outbound parts
• Manage spare parts during deployment activities
• Coordinate parts returns

What we are looking for

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical certification or Associate Degree an asset
• Up to five (5) years of experience in a related area of responsibility
• Comfortable working fully onsite in a data center environment

Working Environment / Conditions

• Fully onsite role based in Prince George, BC
• Five (5) days onsite
• Relocation candidates are welcome.
